HOW IT WORKS
The Chaplain visits regularly and builds relationships of trust.
The Chaplain participates in the leadership team and is visible at the company and at special events.
The Company communicates how employees can reach the Chaplain and to expect regular onsite visits where the Chaplain conducts rounds to check-in with employees.
While all conversations are necessarily confidential and private, the Chaplain takes a pulse on the environment and can be a source of critical input for how to improve the culture.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
Ensuring the effectiveness of a Chaplain requires commitment, continuity, visibility, and support.
- Commitment: Leaders must be committed to creating a caring culture and agree that offering Chaplaincy services is part of the solution.
- Continuity: This commitment must carry across time ensuring ongoing Chaplain services for continuity of relationships.
- Visibility: Visibility within the company is key and regular visitations are most helpful in building trusted, dependable, ongoing relationships.
- Support: It’s critical that the company communicate how to reach the Chaplain, to encourage employees to use the Chaplaincy services, and to remind employees when the Chaplain will conduct onsite rounds to check on employees.
MY JOURNEY TO CHAPLAINCY
In my “Saturday silence and waiting” period a few years ago following the unexpected death of Jeff, my beloved husband of 35 years, through my precious mother’s death six months later, and well into the following year, I asked God to heal my heart, turn my deep-seated grief into joy, and to put me to work using my love for Him and my passion for business to serve Him and His people.
I love people and I love business, and so does God. Jesus preached most of his sermons outside of the church, in the fields, mountains, lakes, and marketplaces to reach people where they are. That is what I do as a Chaplain. I reach people where they are and help them feel the presence of God with us.
My prayer was answered with the opportunity God orchestrated for me to be a Corporate Chaplin. I love this role and everyone who knows me says "You are perfect for this," including friends, family, Bible sisters, pastors, colleagues, and even clients, such as Sean Kouplen, CEO Regent Bank and Founder of the 94X Movement which is helping leaders bring God into their businesses.
I have worked in business throughout my career as a leader, advisor, consultant, and coach, starting in Corporate America and moving to my own practice over a decade ago. Across my life I have been a prayer warrior, Bible student and teacher, church leader, and am ordained as an elder, trustee, and deacon. I love praying for people and am asked to pray with others daily. I have even published prayers for America in two volumes of "Praying Psalms for America."
In my experience, regardless of a person's religion or relationship with God, they appreciate others praying for them.
God has gifted me with personal presence, deep business and corporate experience, long-standing Bible study, challenging personal circumstances, and a constant prayer life to bring the presence of God into the lives of people who need encouragement, support, and prayer.
It would be my honor to talk with you about how Corporate Chaplaincy can make a meaningful difference for your business. Book time with me.
